For those wondering, the HSN's purpose is to foster communications between those of us who are interested
in the technical aspects of horology. The idea is to cover topics that are too detailed or narrow, or
preliminary to publish in standard journals. Publication here does not in any way preclude publishing
in those journals. It is meant to be fun, non-commercial and innovative.
This is a brain-relaxing issue, mostly about pendulum rods of fused silica or ULE (see later),
their attachment, technical properties, purchase and other interesting items.
