Abstract
Volume 139 no.5
On the 'Something Special' page this month there is a discussion of clocks and watches with "wandering
hour" hands. The feature is a compilation by Dennis Harris of early ROLEX trademarks. In a tribute
to the forthcoming NAWCC National Convention the front cover has a tall clock by Luman Watson while inside
we have a further article on American clocks in the UK by John Taylor. This time he covers J C Brown.
Lord Tanlaw looks to the future of GMT in the new millennium. John Nutall analyses the Stackfreed - and
proves to the relief of long-dead watchmakers that it worked! Tim Voore finishes his series on the controll
of the Short Clock as does Bob Matthys (Pendulum Temperature Compensation. Italian journalist Lorenzo
Sutti warns the UK (on the basis of Italian experience) about TV Selling.
