[Mr. Smith has written a few clock books himself, including the one being serialized in Home Shop Machinist, currently. Don't have price list handy, but I recall that in the USA, Mr. Smith's pricing is roughly the same in US dollars as one would pay for the listed Pound Sterling amounts in lists I have seen in, for example, CLOCKS, and Model Engineering, UK publications. I recently ordered [and received] a couple of Mr. Smith's books, service was excellent, and he is EXTREMELY helpful and willing on the telephone. Mark Fraser <mfraser@VANBC.WIMSEY.COM]

  • Rita Shenton (Horological Books)
    148, Percy Road
    Twickenham
    TW2 6JG.
    (Catalog)

[The current catalogue contains about a thousand titles including many rare books and first editions. This is probably one of the best sources of horological books there is. Anyone ordering Rita's catalogue please mention that they were recommended by me via the Internet. This serves the dual purpose of raising the profile of the internet and the clock list in the UK and also the "slightly self interested" purpose of enabling me to obtain a small discount for introducing new customers. It's called "back scratching" :-). Tony Gray (tony@godwin.demon.co.uk)]
