Britten, F. W.: "Horological Hints and Helps". 4th revised. 1988 Antique Collectors' Club, Suffolk.
[Watches & Clocks (repair, tools): Poor; do not confuse with F.J. Britten! Very badly written and
edited. Some useful information, perhaps. Richard Watkins (richard@calvados.apana.org.au)]
-
Britten, F W: "The Watch Repairers' Instructor". 1946. The Technical Press, London. [Watches

it is enjoyable! Title page states "Author of Old Clocks and Watches", etc." which, if
referring to FJ Britten's work is a lie. Richard Watkins (richard@calvados.apana.org.au)]
-
Bruton, Eric: "Dictionary Of Clocks And Watches". 1962. Arco Publications, London, [Watches
& Clocks (history, movement types): Mediocre. Superficial. Richard Watkins (richard@calvados.apana.org.au)]
[With so many good "dictionaries" available it is a wonder why a person of BrutonAEs capabilities
even bothered with this. -Ron]
-
Harris, Burford P. "Modern Watch and Clock Repairing". 1972. Nelson Hall, Chicago, [Watches

-
Selby, Isabella de Lisle: "Wrist-Watches: The Collectors Guide to identifying, Buying and Enjoying

Superficial, probably inaccurate and amost totally devoid of useful information. Richard Watkins (richard@calvados.apana.org.au)]
-

[Watches & Clocks (description, history): Mediocre. Coffee-table style but with some useful historical
information. Richard Watkins (richard@calvados.apana.org.au)]
-
