-
Do not call everyday. There won't be any difference on your computer time. You will be also helping others
by not tying up the US Naval Observatory data line.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO CALL
-
Sunday from 2:05am to Monday 7:50am - Cheaper phone rates and Daylight savings time always start on Sunday.
WHEN IS THE WORST TIME TO CALL
-
Weekdays from 8am to 8pm - Higher long distant phone rates
-
Any hour at 0, 15, 30 and 45 minutes - Everybody will be calling at this time and you might get a busy
signal. Try 2:37am, 1:03am, 5:16am or 3:41am....you've got the idea.
WHAT TIME SHOULD YOU AVOID
-
Any day between 11:50pm to 12:10am - The program will redial 3 times if it fails to connect. UsTime will
get your system date the first time it run. Your computer date will switch to the next day after 12:00
midnight but not UsTime.
-
If you call once a week avoid Tuesday thru Saturday during the month of April and October (Daylight saving
time).
-
Avoid 12:00 midnight to 2:00am - Everybody will be calling during these hours, and Daylight Saving time
