ClockWrighT Version 2.7, December 1998
ClockWrighT maintains a super accurate system clock without a modem and long distance calls and without
any other costly hardware.
Every clock's speed is different from the standard. If the clock speed is known and remains constant,
it is possible to adjust it at any time and maintain a very high degree of accuracy. The clock speed can
be determined quite accurately if the measurement is averaged over a long time.
On a personal computer it is possible to apply system clock corrections at convenient times and achieve
accuracy that is much better than that of clocks normally provided. The ClockWrighT utility performs a
system clock adjustment automatically at startup if invoked by the AUTOEXEC.BAT or at any other time if
run manually or called by some other program.
ClockWrighT is easy to setup and use with DOS, WINDOWS or OS/2. The program can be controlled from the
keyboard, or using the mouse. All functions are organized in logical groups and those that require user
input are provided with and instructions. The help text is accessible from the program. The screen appearance
can be changed by the user. The clock correction history is recorded and serves as a computer usage log.
ClockWrighT for super accurate system clock.
It's great to have accurate system clock for date/time stamping of files, for network synchronization,
for process or instrument control, for scheduling and timing analysis, for many other critical tasks,
and most of all, for simply knowing the time of day!
Why is this computer clock way off again? ... Do I have to set the clock every other day? ... Why is it
so hard to set the time accurately? ... Why use this modem program and call every time I reboot? ... Why
is the date behind? ... What is this "Real Time Clock" anyway? ... I do not care about milliseconds,
but why is this clock off by minutes?
ClockWrighT is easy to setup and to use with DOS, Windows 3.1 or 95 and OS/2. The program can be controlled
from the keyboard, or using the mouse. All functions are organized in logical groups and those that require
user input are provided with dialog and instructions. The help text is accessible from the program. The
screen appearance can be changed by the user. The clock correction history is recorded and serves as a
computer usage log.
It is as easy as 1-2-3 to to achieve high clock accuracy with ClockWrighT.
Give you results comparable to time keeping solutions costing hundreds of dollars.
Help you adjust the system clock accurately, utilizing any type of time signal.
Calculate the Real Time Clock or the Add-on Clock error and the clock adjustment factor.
Automatically adjust the clock as required without a modem and long distance calls.
Automatically change from standard to daylight saving mode in spring and back in autumn.
Adjust for different time zones of residence when traveling.
Provide perpetual calendar and calendar calculator, Julian day and Julian decimal to 6 places.
Support for a "Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR)" accessory and for a "Time by modem"
If you have ever asked questions like those above, you would benefit from using ClockWrighT - read on:
ClockWrighT, the best program in its class, does all these things for you and more.
Operating System: DOS, Windows (3.x, 95) or OS/2.
Keyboard or mouse.
This Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) accessory is designed for systems with Real Time Clocks. It should
be used when the system must run unattended for a long time, or when it is desirable to make the clock
adjustments in the background. It is possible to have the clocks adjusted once or up to 96 times per day
automatically, or invoke it by a hot key combination. The TSR can be uninstalled without rebooting the
system. It can be disabled remaining installed without rebooting the system. It can be be swapped out
to disk or to EMS and then it requires only 5k bytes of DOS memory.
CWTMODEM.EXE and CWKMODEM.EXE
If you have a modem you can use the Automated Computer Time Service provided by the US National Institute
of Standards and Technology. The process of comparing the computer system time to the atomic clock standard
is now much easier and more accurate. Simply click on the menu time and sit back!
Yes, every computer can have a super accurate system clock now! To enjoy the benefits of exact system
time, fill out the Order Form and send for your copy of ClockWrighT!
